Cowboy Christmas and Cowboy FanFest Enjoy Record Attendance on Opening Three Days

LAS VEGAS (December 8, 2013) – The opening three days of the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy FanFest brought record crowds to the Las Vegas Convention Center.  Total attendance for this period reached 57,155, besting the previous record attendance for the first three days of 55,677 set in 2007. 

The Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy Fanfest opened on Thursday, Dec. 5 at the Las Vegas Convention Center and will run ten consecutive days, culminating on Saturday, Dec. 14. Both are open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and offer free admission.

With more than 300,000 square feet of show floor and just under 350 exhibitors from across the United States and Canada, the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show features unique products, including custom-made jewelry, western wear, boots and spurs, furniture, original art, handmade crafts and home goods.  Attendees will also find the best source for the official Wrangler NFR and PRCA merchandise. 

Adjacent to Cowboy Christmas, Cowboy FanFest adds 100,000 square feet of the best of the Western lifestyle, giving fans a chance to enjoy the best that rodeo has to offer.

The area features live music and entertainment in Ram Rodeo Live, specialty food and beverage in the Boot Barn Rodeo Saloon and Rodeo Round Up, demonstrations and competitions in the Wrangler Rodeo Arena, interactive booths, rodeo exhibits in Lucas Oil Rodeo Way and more.

Rodeo fans are also able to utilize the free NFR Express at the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy FanFest. This one-way route will run from the Las Vegas Convention Center North Hall directly to the Thomas & Mack Center.

Sold out for 270 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding as they compete for a share of the $6.25 million purse.  Qualification is based on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
