Now entering its 34th year in Las Vegas, the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo will return to Las Vegas and the Thomas & Mack Center for its annual ten-day run, this year starting on Thursday, Dec. 6 and culminating on Saturday, Dec. 15. The top rodeo athletes in the world will be greeted by capacity crowds each night, all enjoying the competition and state-of-the-art video boards that were recently installed.

The multi-level center hung board includes the top video board that is just over 20’ wide by nearly 12’ tall. The lower section of the board is 13.5’ wide and just over 8’ tall. The projection quality on both boards is 6mm resolution, providing stunning clarity for video replay and fan interaction elements.

“We are very excited about the addition of the new state-of-the-art video boards,” said Mike Newcomb, executive director of the Thomas & Mack Center. “The clarity of the boards will enhance the overall experience for our NFR fans and add that much more to an already great event.”

Known as the richest and most prestigious rodeo in the world, the Wrangler NFR attracts the Top 15 PRCA contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping and bull riding, plus barrel racing, to compete for a share of the $10 million purse and the coveted PRCA World Championship Gold Buckles. In 2017, the event had a total attendance of 168,952 over the 10 days of competition and has sold out more than 300 consecutive performances.
