Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy FanFest Enjoy Record Total Attendance

Las Vegas, NV

LAS VEGAS (December 16, 2012) – After breaking numerous daily attendance records, the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show and Cowboy FanFest, the newest addition to the WranglerNFR, brought record crowds to the Las Vegas Convention Center over the ten days.  Total attendance reached 186,100, surpassing the previous recordattendance of 160,863 set in 2007.
 
The overall record attendance also included the highest one-day attendance record of 31,119 set on Saturday, Dec. 8.
 
With more than 300,000 square feet of show floor and just under 400 exhibitors from across the United States and Canada, the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show featured unique products, including custom-made jewelry, western wear, boots and spurs, furniture, original art, handmade crafts and home goods.
 
Adjacent to Cowboy Christmas, Cowboy FanFest added 100,000 square feet of the best of the Western lifestyle, giving fans a chance to enjoy the best that rodeo has to offer.  Cowboy FanFest featured live concerts at the Rodeo Live/ACM Concert Stage, demonstrations, clinics and mutton bustin’ in the Rodeo Arena, exhibits in Rodeo Way, fan interactive booths and much more.
 
Cowboy Christmas and FanFest ran concurrently with the Wrangler NFR, from Thursday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Las Vegas ConventionCenter. Both were open daily from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and offered free admission.
 
Sold out for 260 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding as they compete for a share of the $6.125 million purse.  Qualification is based on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
