Rodeo Arena at Cowboy FanFest to Feature Exhibitions that Bring Fans Close to Rodeo

 

Arena designed as a replica of the Thomas & Mack Center

 

LAS VEGAS (November 8, 2012) – Rodeo Arena presented by Wrangler and Priefert, one of the six main features of Cowboy FanFest, will bring rodeo, horsemanship and specialty acts direct to fans.

 

Rodeo Arena, with a seating capacity of 800, is designed as a replica of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo arena and will host a variety of exhibitions and demonstrations.  Highlights at Rodeo Arena include:

·      Exclusive Genetics – Bucking bull futurity (daily);

·      Mini Bucking Bull Clinic (Dec. 6-9, 12 and 15);

·      Rodeo 101 Clinics – Insider look at rodeo events hosted by Wrangler NFR contestants (Dec. 6-11, 14 and 15);

·      Horsemanship Demonstrations with Bob Avila, Teddy Robinson and Guy McLean (daily except for Dec. 11);

·      Cowboy Mounted Shooting with Outlaw Annie presented by Classic Equine (Dec. 11-15);

·      Redneck Rodeo presented by Awesome Adventures – A one-of-a-kind series of rodeo obstacle courses for fans, including a mechanical bull competition, zipline hunting challenge and much more (daily);

·      Miss Rodeo America Horsemanship (Dec. 10) and Auction (Dec. 11);

·      Mutton Bustin’ presented by Justin Boots – Young competitors test their skills against sheep (daily).

Free to the public, FanFest is open 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily and features 100,000 square feet of the best of the Western lifestyle, giving fans a chance to enjoy the best that rodeo has to offer.  Located adjacent to the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show, FanFest will run concurrently with the Wrangler NFR and the Cowboy Christmas Gift Show, from Thursday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

 

In addition to Rodeo Arena, Cowboy FanFest will include the following main anchor displays and programming elements:

 

Rodeo Live Stage – A live stage for performances by Academy of Country Music artists, Outside the Barrel with Flint Rasmussen and a variety of specialty entertainment, including guest appearances and a battle of the bands competition;

The Rodeo Way – An Old West setting featuring the “Best of Rodeos”, Miss Rodeo America and additional exhibits;

Rodeo Round-Up and A Taste of Rodeo – An experience featuring themed food and specialty drinks;

Rodeo Interactive – An area for interactive booths to entertain fans during the ten days of rodeo, including King of the Reach and Slicks and Sticks;

Second Stage – Sponsored by Cuttin’ Up Radio, the second stage will bring additional live acts and programming, fashion shows and much more.

 

Sold out for 260 consecutive performances, the Wrangler NFR attracts the top 15 contestants in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding as they compete for a share of the $6.125 million purse.  Qualification is based on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association World Standings.
