Tallman, Polhamus, Corley return as the voices of Wrangler NFR

Bob Tallman, Boyd Polhamus and Randy Corley, the three most decorated rodeo announcers of their generation, will return to the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas Dec. 6-15 to give voice to the $5.5 million Wrangler National Finals Rodeo.

It marks the 12th consecutive year that Tallman, the eight-time and reigning PRCA Announcer of the Year, has been paired with Polhamus for the Wrangler NFR. Corley, a 10-time PRCA Announcer of the year, will be making his ninth appearance at the season-ending championships.

The three of them have a combined 42 appearances at Wrangler NFR and they head the list of PRCA contract personnel selected for this 49th edition of the championships.

For Corley, this will be something of a family affair with his daughter, Amanda, being chosen as one of the timers, along with Terri Gay and Dollie Riddle. The Corleys became the first father-daughter pair to earn NFR assignments in those categories in 2005.

Ten-time PRCA rodeo secretary of the year Sunni Deb Backstrom will handle the entries, results and payouts at the rodeo, with assistance from Haley Schneeberger. Vickie Shireman will be the office manager.

Ted Groene will serve as livestock superintendent, aided by John Barnes. The saddle horse boss will be Jon Taylor while the chute boss duties will be handled by Darrell Barron (roughstock) and John Farris (timed events).

The pickup men, bullfighters and barrelman who will work at the Wrangler NFR are being voted on by contestants and will not be known before Oct. 10.
